Today marks the end of the 2017 Couch Contest, sponsored by Moozikoo and their client Burrow, where my team and I were able to compete for a cash prize for our short, Burrowed Love. We placed in 3rd and were award with a supplemental cash prize, as well as a single chair for Burrow's Collection...we are still debating on the color and how we are going to divide up the prize among our team...but we'll figure it out.

3rd and a cash prize is something I'm thankful for, don't get me wrong...however the social media driving contest actually only ended up being between 3 different groups. Out of the 21 groups that were interested and acknowledged the desire to compete in the competition, only the 3 of us turned in final projects. Granted, our group didn't have enough of a social media presence or response to get 1st out of 3, or even 2nd, but 3rd out of 3....we still had more return that we put into it. We shot our video in about 6 hours, for free, plus then the time spent editing...so anything better than nothing was a profit on return. Sometimes it really does pay to just finish what you start.
